Title: Clarifying Beer
Post by: Ozbrewer on September 13, 2015, 07:27:46 PM
Was wondering what most people do post fermentation to further clarify beer.

I'm looking at the following:

Kieselsol

Gelatine
https://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/gelatine-vinoferm-100-g-p-3181.html

I know the instruction say to use both, but I'm wondering if the gelatine by itself is sufficient enough.

I just use gelatine powder. You can get it in any supermarket next to the baking stuff. Here's (http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.ie/forum/index.php/topic,7032.0.html) how I use it.

Brilliant Garry - thanks for that. I was in Tesco today and they didn't have any of that gelatine and I'm about to place a homebrew order, and saw they sold gelatine as well. Guess I won't bother with the Kiesol then.

Cold crashing down to 1 if you can for 2 days and condition for a week or 2 at 3-5 degrees
