I bought a second hand keg from thenationalhomebrew.ie and now I need the rest. I'm thinking the basic setup from http://www.brewuk.co.uk/keg-starter-set-ball.html and maybe a brand new fridge with the intention of converting to a kegerator. I'm asking if anyone has any individual components that I could get second hand before I start spending £300+ buying new stuff?
Cheers!
Not sure about the kegging bits, I'm still in the googling stage of my build. But keep an eye on adverts.ie and donedeal for a cheap fridge. I got an under counter fridge a while back for 15 euro, twas a bit rusty on the outside and needed a good clean but works fine and was a hell of a lot cheaper than a new one
Yeah, adverts and donedeal are great for bar stuff. Ali express also for faucets. The gas...aj edge in solus business park in bray. Anything specific just ask here as you go along
Keep watching group buys and for sale section on forum
Buy it even if you don't need it like the 5 poor fellas that missed out on regs GB
I wouldn't touch taps in Ali, they are chrome plated
A 5kg tank from AJ tell him Homebrew club sent you
Norman on eBay is also good but expensive atm because of stg
I got all my taps, cooler and regs on adverts. It really is a great resource
Looks like I might be able to get my hands on a fridge... Can I put a fridge on carpet?
you can compressor is at the back, just thinking if you had spillages or leaky stout you could have a right mess
I wouldn't put it on carpet for exactly the reason CH said, I've had so many little spills, leaks and bits of spray.
This little setup would a lot (if not all) of what you'd need.

Coolers are normally 80-100
Kegs 35 now, disconnects 15
Taps 40-50
line a tenner?
You see where I'm going with this?
Fridge much better for serving for personal consumption.
Yeah I have a line cooler and wish I had a fridge. Not allowed get a serving fridge. :(
Building the 3V system didn't help.
