Title: Grain and hop bags
Post by: rollout on October 19, 2012, 12:34:07 PM
What do people use as their Grain and hop bags for mashing, steeping, boiling and dry hopping?

Muslin? Eoin's bags? Paint strainer bags?

Whats a good size to use? I presume the hops would need room to move around and mingle with the liquid.

I use 5 gallon paint bags for Hop spider, not sure they would be strong enough for BIAB, even at 50-100g of dried hops its gets heavy when i go to lift out

I use eoinmags bags. Its perfectly suited to the application.
I need a new one though as i gave the old one away.
I know Eoin and his missus were a bit snowed under so I bought a cheap pair of net curtains from IKEA - havent got around to fashioning them yet.
