Hi all, Hope you can help me out.
This is the valve of a Blickman beer gun.
I need to source a number of these or similar valves:

Basically its a push button type that allows a flow of gas. A bit like the old fashioned brass blow-down guns. I have found a modern blow gun that would work but would prefer this simple valve.
It is about 5 cms long and is threaded 1/4" bsp or so ( as is American its actulally and NPT size ! )
The thread is not overly important but its "push the button to squirt the" gas is!!
If any one can steer me in the direction of a link then would be most grateful.
If anyone uses the American or Aussie forums could you repost to them?

BTW: They also sell spare little black rubber thingys at the end of the B'man

How about a solenoid valve connected to a timer. I know this may be over the top but if you know the site of the bottle and the flow of gas you got get the timer to open for a specified period of time. This would save on gas in the long run.
If you want the this type of valve could I suggest contacting SMC Pneumatics in City West. Phone number 01 4039000. I work about 10 minutes from them so could pick up if you need anything.

Got reply - they will only ship to the US. I know we can ask Adam to help out but as they are NPT I would also have to source NPT to BSP adapters. Ones I've found so far are expensive.
Have a UK site to contact - similar valve just a bit bigger

I went to SMC and also called into micro hydraulic's, no joy on these type of valves. Met the rep from flomax and he is going to see if he can help.
At over £15,by the time you pay'd the € difference and shipping in costs, this would not be cheap. You still need the rest on stuff to make up a good counterflow unit. I must keep looking.

Operation:
1. Adjust rubber bung to just nicely seal to the bottle.
2. Press LH button to fill bottle and then RH to purge bottle.
2a. Repeat if you want to
3. Open ball valve. Gently press RH valve to allow beer to flow in.
4. Turn off Ball valve.
5. Remove bottle and cap

I assume you mean the RH button valve?
I was thinking of adding a blow off valve set to about 2 psi less than gas line pressure.
However finding a suitable valve is elusive! Safety valves are sealed, too high a pressure and too expensive as they are certified life savers.
Am still looking though.
As I've made safety valves for model steam locos I could make one but its like a weeks work on the lathe!!

It will be American though.
But that CP gun looks like a nice simple design with a 3 way valve and a blow off.

The crucifix does not have to be 1/2",it can be 3/8" and so can the ball valve. The ball valve I got are cheap and come as female/female thread and male/female thread options.
