Title: The Big Brew - November 14th
Post by: helmet on November 04, 2015, 04:47:28 PM
We're nearly there, just over a week till Barney wheels the big rig over to Soraghan's for our collaborative brew. Looking forward to this one.
So who's coming and what are you bringing?
Also, are you bringing bottles for the Belfast Competition (BC)

I won't be there lads, heading off on the holliers  (you still need that tap Cronan?)

I didn't get a chance to fill my bottles but I'll throw some together and send them over for next Saturday.

Also, Helmet can I pass my bottles for the comp to you somehow?

No bother, can you get them to someone who is going? If not I'll knock up to collect them off you.

You can throw them down to me Aidan. I'll be heading to the big brew. Dunno how long I'll be there for I'll more than likely be working which means I'll be sober too :(

How are we getting on lads. Did yis do anything with the beer. My missus picked mine up from Brians last night

What was the OG of the beer? My gravity seems to be down to 1010. I'm going to dry hop it tomorrow for a few days with whatever hops i can find in the freezer and then stick it out the back garden for a cold crash

Mine took off like a rocket and is now stuck at 1.020 but it still has a nice layer of yeast still on top. The plan is (1) to leave a bit as normal, (2) orange, pomegranate and strawberry, (3) mango and orange and (4) vanilla and coconut. Hopefully one of them will be nice  :D

Mine's at 1.016, but still bubbling a bit. Going to rack onto a bunch of blackberries I have in the freezer and see what happens.
