Title: Christmas Party
Post by: Will_D on November 09, 2015, 10:12:38 AM
We need to nail down a date for the party.

Please list any dates NOT suitable?

This should give us a consensus!

Also it TOSH tomorrow :)

Will, I setup a doodle, hope I am not stepping on toes

I put in Tuesdays but we can remove them if you think it really needs to be weekendish.

Simply select all the days that suit.

Thanks james,

but there is still the 22nd and also what about the week before?

Also if we cannot get say 75% of the regulars together lets make in between Christmas and New year and get 100%

Ok - its looking like the 11th is favourite at the moment.

Please, please doodle your suitability!

Also for those that can't make it pre Christmas we can always have a

"I can't believe Christmas is Over, I'm still on Holiers, Bored out of me tree and its not NewYear for another few days" party.

If you go to the pre and attend the post then there will be a payment!

Ok I am going to try to book TOSH for Friday the 11th.

Also I would suggest another party in Fowlers on Tuesday 29th (btw: its the 5th Tuesday which doesn't happen often). This is for those who can't make it on the 11th.

Guests of honour will be: ColMac for hosting out casks and a certain Cider Heady person fo ALL his amazing work!

Depending on chat with TOSH tomorrow there will be a new sign on thread!

BTW: I have a back up plan!

As I feared TOSH is a nogo for the 11th.

There is already one group ahead of us waiting for a cancellation.

They have some (but not many mid-week dates available like Tue:8/12 (our meet), Wed:16/12)

Alteratively I can get the snug at the Boro for the 11th. Craft beers at €2-50 sounds like a great idea for a party nightl!

Talked about menus to the Boro management and they can do us a bespoke finger food buffet (with our input) for €15 a head.

Naturally we will be subsidising this figure from the club funds.

I do need some quick feedback on this date/idea and also the Fowlers 29th date so we can work out the subsidies etc.

44 was not the best recieved food fare last year.
One of the reasons we moved!

Boro wants us back and I'm sure the finger food will be fine!

Its worth a punt anyways

Just checking in. I enjoyed the 44 last year. Would be fine with the boro. The cheap beer is deadly. Probably best to such with the 11th

Other option would be The Pound/ The Attic Bar. Nice craft on tap and good food. At least it was good last time I've been there.

The Boro snug or the pound Attic bar would be great. But I'm not fussy. 11th suits me..

11th good with me.
The Pound Attic bar is good. Good beers and food good but limited.
Old Buro also good.

The Boro said that they could provide what we want (within reason) and we could have the snug!

So shall I book us into the Boro?
