Lads,
My Co2 regulator dial keeps rising - even when the gas is turned off. Am I right in thinking that its faulty?
If it is, does anyone have recommendations on where to buy a new one? Would be reluctant to buy the same type again as its 3 months old.
is your beer fermenting
Are you changing temeratures
Its happening across different kegs - old ones and a new one. When I disconnect the gas the pressure goes up to 60 even with the gas turned off and the relief valve purged repeatedly.
ok take it apart at the back you may have liquid in it
can you take pics before you do it?

I did this before with a reg which did get wet (based it on this vid actually). I would know if this had happened - it gets in the lines.
Will just have to bite the bullet and get a new one..
open her up nothing to lose
If the bottle is turned off (is what you mean by "When I disconnect the gas") or if you physically disconnect the reg from the bottle then the reg cannot be faulty. Your beer is fermenting!
Interesting - it was my first time using anything except a Safale yeast (WLP007) and it did seem to finish a bit higher than expected (1015). Will you could be right in which case I have a few bottle bombs at home.
I'm just finishing up another batch with WLP090 and it stayed high at the end and took 11 days to fully finish out. It looked done but was still working through it - stuck at 1.020 and dropped a couple of points each day.
I've never had this with US05/ 04...
OK you could have been right too CH...
Now will you just tell me missus ;)
