I reckon you seperate them to drink, but it let's you hold the bottle in your left hand for instance and eat with your right. Otherwise you need three hand to hold the beer, the plate and the grub ;D Mind you putting your eggs all in the one basket springs to mind, most if not all of us, would ditch the food to save the beer in the event of tripping up, staggering or bumping into someone else 8)

Did that once. Had a lamp stand in one hand and a pint in the other. Stepped in to a stair way and down all the steps I went,got to the bottom with all intact and got a round of applause when I came back up the stairs. :)

Interesting observation question,a bunch of lads sitting and drinking beer and the same bunch of lads standing and drinking beer. are they more aggressive or talkative,intellectual or dumb. ;)
