The Carboy Cup
We want to add a bit of fun for the local homebrew clubs for BrewCon2016 (http://www.nhcconference.com/).
We want you to brew your best American Pale, Amber or Brown Ale for your club and then we'll get Gordon Strong & Chip Walton to give feedback & judge against the other club's beers on the day.
There might be a prize, there may not, we're not saying ;)
---
So, off you go & brew your beer.
Then, your club needs to decide which beer will represent your club & then you need to bring* a bottle of it to BrewCon2016 on Sat 23rd April.
* Make sure you've bought a ticket
Rules:
Only one beer per club.
You must tell us beforehand that you're bringing it.
We need to show the Americans how to really brew good beer; Brew your best.

Apologies South Dublin has to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances e.g lack of independent beer judge to judge beer & lack of beer to judge :)

Ah not worth dropping out. If someone feels their beer is strong enough to represent the club step up and bring it along to represent their club. At the end the day its only a bit of fun.

So a South Dublin member had saved the day at the last minute with an entry. Don't even have to update the list to put us back on it :)

Err - any news?
It was announced later on, Dodge has suddenly become very valuable in the transfer market again!
Belfast came out of nowhere with a 2nd (a Club to watch in the future) Sorry didn't get third place I was other end of the hall, Liffey?
Lordstilton took 3rd for Liffey Brewers with a red IPA that he submitted as an amber. Not bad eh! 😉
Thanks and well done to LS in a tough race.
