Well done! Congrats all!
Brilliant to see so many new names on there and the old specialists still hard at work in their favorite categories.
Well done all the entrants and organisers this year
Well done all, winners and not :)
Shocked and delighted with a bronze in my first Nationals! Gutted I couldn't make it last night. Congrats to all entrants and especially to the organizers. Such a huge amount of work put in every year to run the event - thanks so much guys!
Well done everyone, was my first year to enter and I'm already thinking about next year and how I can get at least a HM.
Just wondering what happens now, do we get to see our beers score and comments ?
Beer scores are already on entry system you'll get your sheets later in the week
Well done to all who entered & all who won medals.
Great day out.
Well done one and all and a big thank you to the hard work of the organisers and people on the ground. None of this would happen without your hard work and it's very appreciated!
Indeed. Most appreciated!!

That's great work guys, thanks.
For those of us who were unfortunately unable to attend yesterday, how can we claim our medals?
Ladies and gents,
There were many pieces of paper floating about yesterday, and one category escaped and missed the fanfare.
Please welcome Padraic Hussey to the honours list, winning a Silver medal for his English IPA.
I have updated the medal list.
This does not affect any other scoring.
Congratulations Padraic!
Cheers everyone who helped out and congratulations to all medal winners. Need to up my game next year!

I'm quite new to the NHC community so I'm unfortunately not affiliated with any club. Could I have it posted maybe? Sorry for the bother!

North County Brewers is my closest club. I'm around Dublin 17.
Next North county meetup is next Tuesday in Swords...
D17 myself. Another new member for the NCB.
Err what about the mead - he wispered :(
Mead was judges in Beal Feiriste.
But I will update this Post with Full list.
OP updated with Complete list.

Great stuff with all the hard work put into this :-*
I crunched some numbers quickly and a total of 98 medals were awarded to 54 different people. Thats a great spread (33 gold, 32 silver and 33 bronze)
With a new NCB member on board we should recalculate club cup again? Specially that some of our existing members forgot to put in club details on their entry sheets

If they forgot, they cannot be counted after the event. ('Tis in the rulez (http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.ie/forum/index.php/topic,14940.msg140296.html#msg140296))
Fantastic group effort and a great day out.
Congrats to all the winners!
Great to see how after 4 years the spread across all the category's is coming along :)

is there no cat 22?

Good question , I entered beer in 22A , but with bad score . Maybe not good enough beers to get medal .
The judges/organisers decide whether to award medals in a category.
In the larger ones there are usually quite a few contenders, so there usually will be gold, silver, bronze & perhaps even an honourable mention.
In the smaller categories it depends on the standard, eg Cat 2 had a gold, but next best beer was only awarded a bronze - suggesting first was good enough for good but second wasn't quite there points wise.
The threshold will depend on each competition, entry numbers & standards. It's not hard & fast across different competitions but will be consistent across categories on the day.
Yeah, I understand that but it looks more like the category was just missed in the list as it had a few high 30's
Cut'n'Paste Faux pas
Cat 22 is there now, apologies
