Title: craft beer Brussels
Post by: robotmonkey on March 07, 2016, 12:35:21 PM
I'm going to be in Brussels for a day, any recommendations for bars/breweries to visit? Had planned to visit Cantillon but it's closed on Wednesdays. Doh!

Delerium is good, I found the staff a bit arrogant but I put up with it cos they have some cracking beers. Try a Pannepot Reserva there, it's incredible.
My favourite bar was Poechenellekelder which is right beside the Manekin Pis. They do some amazing lambic and gueuze there.
Shame you can't do the Cantillon tour, it was brilliant  :(

Sadly flights are already booked. Visiting friends in Manchester and spotted that we could get return flights to Brussels from Manchester for £35. So, day trip! :)

I'd second the Poech... The place beside the Manniken Pis.  I was there regularly last year and always liked Cafe Lombard (between Grand Place and the Manniken Pis), it's quiet enough and they have a huge beer menu
