There seems to be plenty of people involved in absolutely shameless bragging, so I thought "why not..?" 8)
Here's the final round-up of the medals won by "South Dublin Brewers" in the 2016 Nationals. The following medals were won by only 3 club members, and best of all, the medals span a very diverse group of styles. A great achievement!
Gold - American Strong
Gold - Alternative Fermentables
Gold - Mead
Silver - Mead
Silver - American Wild
Silver - Belgian Strong Ale
Bronze - Scottish Ale
Bronze - Wine
2nd Place - Best of Show
Plus we took the Silver medal for the Club Barrel, for the second time, with the same beer!
Thanks to everyone involved on the day, but especially those who have spent many months organising this event.
And finally, well done to all competitors. It's not easy offering your beer up for critique from people you don't know. But the important thing is that we all learn from the experience and go on to improve our brewing skills.
Now my liver needs a rest for a few.. err, days..
