Hi All,
I joined the NHC a few months back, so feel bad that I am only making my introductions now. I have been into beer in a big way for close on 25 years, so it's a bit ridiculous that I have only discovered brewing it in the past 18 months (I seriously wish that I had started years ago).
Brew wise, I started out with 1 Gallon Batches of All Grain on the stove top just to learn the brewing process. I was having more disasters than successes, and it was suggested to me that I find and join the local club (Garden County Brewers for me), which I did last May. I was so nervous at the first meeting, as I really didn't have a clue (still don't BTW) what anyone was talking about or asking me. Also, 2 x 500ML bottles was a lot to bring along as it was virtually a quarter of my brew batch at the time. However, I was made feel right at home and got some great feedback and advice and it has been onwards and upwards since then. I moved to 5 Gallon brewing literally the very next day and virtually haven't missed a meet since then.
Compared to where I was a year ago, I have learnt so much, but am fully aware that I still haven't got a clue when you take in the bigger picture. However, I am loving the brewing process and have had a lot more success along the way.
I have my ticket for BrewCon 2016, so in addition to making you acquaintance online, I look forward to meeting some of you in person there.
Welcome aboard, looks like you made a great start in very little time and you have well and truely caught the brewing bug.
Happy brewing..

Cheers all - no doubt there'll be some silly questions coming your way now that I'm up and running on here. ;)
