Title: automatic bottling system ideas/suggestions
Post by: wartotojas on March 14, 2016, 08:05:23 PM
Hi,

Just a quick one here. Wondering how to speed up my bottling process and thinking if this

Could be adapted to fill beer bottles. Main issue I think off is oxygenation, but if I would attach a bit of tubing that would go all the way to the bottom of the bottle would it not work just as good as bottling wand?

My idea behind that is to have 3-4 spigots in my bottling bucket and one of these attached to each. That would allow me fill 3 or 4 bottles at the time and they would stop when they are full.

Have never used one of them automatic taps so if I missed anything why it would not work please share your thoughts on this.

Thanks

remember that you only have 2 hands.
how about a double tap + stick (http://www.homebrewwest.ie/bottle-filling-stick-for-bottling-tap-1096-p.asp) setup? 1 for each hand

Yeah but auto stop function on them would leave my hands free and I could do capping etc while bottles are filling

Not much good for beer is this tap. I have one and was looking at it for something like what you want. Oxygen is only an issue in forced carbonate beer being bottled. Bottled conditioned beers will ate the oxygen.  ;)

Could you expand on this a bit?  :) why this tap would not work with beer? Or why it's not good for beer I should say :)
