I can't build one myself, I've tried but I'm so useless at DIY, especially electronics, all projects just fail.
I was using one of these: http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Peco-Electric-Digital-Mashing-Bin--Boiler.html#a5378 but the controller keeps breaking! I'm looking for something like that though, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
An inkbird jobbie with a normal Peco boiler would probably suit ya
Have a look on geterbrewed website under new products for the inkbird
The Inkbird stuff looks pretty good, and when I saw them it was a bit "shut up and take my money!" However they're better for fermentation controllers. All their models have the same spec: they heat up to 99C and have an accuracy of +-1 deg up to 70C. As this is for mashing and boiling, I'm interested in keeping the water at accurate temps above 70 and then boiling at 100.
For now I've ordered a replacement part, I'm sure I can switch them out, but in the long term it would be good to get a better controller. I would love one of those Brewpis once they can handle mash temps.
