Title: Propane Supply - Dublin
Post by: stevosan on April 18, 2016, 09:17:58 PM
Dear Fellow Brewers

Just setting up my kit again after moving house back to Ireland from abroad

Can anyone please recommend the best supplier for propane here in South Dublin?
Also need a good burner.

Just got my CO2 from AJ Edge today that was painless and cheap!

thanks

I don't know about South Dublin but any non big box hardware store should have it. I got mine from a local one in Swords

FYI I started with propane when I came back. Far too bloody expensive....

Just be aware that our frees state (well its a centenary remember) propane as supplied in the standard red tanks use a different connector to the UK tanks.

Irish tank has a left handed Male thread

Uk and NI tanks use the standard left hand POL female fitting.

The off coutse there is the Grey Pation gas cylinders whicj are propane but with a very different clip on reg.

Yellow bottles down here are Butane!

Note to all: Flammable gases always have a left hand thread and the nuts have a shallow groove cut into the corners of the hex.

What are your gas regulators and where did they come from.
