Title: Brewery/distillery tours in Dublin?
Post by: Parky on May 31, 2016, 09:25:59 AM
I'm planning a craft beer themed stag night in Dublin for the end of June and want to include a brewery/distillery tour as part of the day out (a Saturday).

I was thinking Teelings Distillery might be an option as I've heard good reviews, and was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations for brewery/distillery tours around the city?

Only other handy option I can think of is J.W. Sweetman's. It's a bit more central too. The brewery is packed into a tiny basement so it's a bit of a squeeze for a big group but should be grand for a stag.

The Dublin Whiskey Museum is also worth a visit. 5 Lamps do tours but you will need to contact them. Stone barrel will probably have their operation up and running by then but they are a good bit out of town on the Long Mile Road.

Thanks for the suggestions folks - looks like it's the Teeling's Distillery tour so!

Hadn't thought of JW Sweetman's, but that could actually be perfect for the evening, as we will need to get a bite to eat, and as you say, it's central enough to take the group into the city centre afterwards for late bars or nightclubs.

Wouldn't mind doing the 5 Lamps tour myself at some stage, their Liberties Ale is a very decent drop.
