Title: Beer Line
Post by: Qs on June 08, 2016, 10:46:28 AM
Whats the best stuff to use for beer line from the Irish HBCs or ebay? Am getting new lines and have had hassle using the hard beer/gas line with my taps. Is food grade silicone the best option?

I was thinking of emailing the hbc about importing the ultra barrier beer line, it's PVC free and extremely flexible, lots of good reviews from the states.

Good idea, dcalnan. I got some in from brewhardware.com and it's fantastic stuff. Good resistance (~2psi/foot), O2 barrier, very flexible. Only downside is the tube size: 5/16" ID, 9/16" OD. So probably won't work with JG fittings.
I'd highly recommend it.

I was planning on getting some tubing when I get some stuff from brewhardware to try out, so that's good to hear.

I probably have some spare stuff if you want to try it out. Will check tomorrow when I get home.
