Title: Peco Boiler Discolouration
Post by: clanz on July 10, 2016, 07:15:28 PM
Hi all.  So I'm new to home brewing and I've done my first brew day with a Peco Electrim Boiler.  The wort is now in my fermentation vessel.  I've thoroughly cleaned the boiler but there is discolouration to the inside of the plastic that won't scrub off.  Is this normal or is there something I should be doing?

It's perfectly normal and won't affect your beer as long as you give it a good rinse after each use

Mine is stained also but after all it is plastic so it's par for the course i'm afraid, whatever you don't scrub it as that could scratch it up,a good hot oxyclean and soft sponge is all you need. ;D

Mine's the same, stained after about 2 brews and hasn't affected the quality of the rest!
