Title: Homemade Counterflow Chiller
Post by: cunnol on July 21, 2016, 10:10:52 AM
Seeing as these are so expensive I'm looking into making my own. However I'm not the most experienced when it comes to DYI. Any guides on YouTube are either American or Kiwi so I'm wondering if anyone here has made one and has a parts list they can stick up? I've made a brew pi myself so can offer advice on making one of those if anybody needs a hand.

Don't have a list handy but woodies do a pre coiled copper coil that works perfect.
Tighten it around a corny or something like that.
I got the copper right angles and got tight angles rather then trying to bend and chance getting kinks.
Soldered with lead free solder and attach hose. Simple enough build.

Cheers Nigel, are you referring to an immersion chiller rather than a counterflow chiller?

Damien you legend, that is a thing of beauty, not cheap as you say but it's a fine piece of kit. I'll take a look and get onto you if I have any questions, thanks!

Yeah immersion sorry. For counter flow aliexpress was a great selection.
