Title: Chest Freezer
Post by: cunnol on July 29, 2016, 03:47:23 PM
On the lookout for a chest freezer, have three kegs and a co2 tank waiting for a good home.
If anybody happens to see one going a heads up would be great.
Big enough to hold the three kegs or even more would be great for future upgrades.
I'm keeping an eye out on donedeal etc., just waiting on a good price.

I'm living near Bray so anywhere Wicklow/Dublin/Carlow/Kildare.

Cheers!

I'm looking at max 150, ideally lower which is a little limiting I know but trying to save at the moment.

Adverts.ie have a few. One in Kildare looks to fit the bill too

Getting the internal dimensions if this one sent on today.

I'll buy if it can fit three, though there's a voice telling me I'll want add more once I've got the three on tap

Hey man,

Hope you're well. That one looks small enough but if you're planning on putting a big enough collar on it you may be able to get some kegs sitting over the motor and increase the potential keg load. Just something to keep in mind when you're measuring up.

You probably don't need more than 3-4 taps, there's only so much beer a man can drink before it starts going past it's best. Although it is great to have the extra taps for parties! Also it's handy to have the extra conditioning room in a larger unit, even if they're not tapped.

I did exactly that, put a collar on it and I can fit kegs on the shelf over the compressor now. Its a handy job and loads of vids online

Cheers Johnny, I've a small enough shed I'll be using so extending the collar may be the way to go. I'm hoping to start washing yeast though so I'll either need some extra space in the keezer or a small fridge. How's the brewhouse coming along, got that extractor fan in yet?

I have one I will sell that I installed with a collar. Its predrilled through timber with 3 taps (sorry need to keep them)
Its small and is completely flat bottomed but holds 6 standard corny kegs if you are interested. There is a nice drip tray on it and I'll let it go for 120 if you can collect. PM me if you are interested I'm in Ashford and I can send video or pics or you can come and have a look at it in action.

It wasn't a sale per se just helping out a local lad with a good deal and it's gone.
