The September edition of BYO has a few nice articles on Irish craft beers & brewing.
And a report on the NHC with a classic comment from a former President
"Its great to see guys who were making absolute shite winning medals at the national the year after."
Very colloquial ;D

They usually post the article on their website a month or so after the magazine is released.
Sent from my phone, please excuse the typos.
Are those of ye who are buying it getting it directly from the publisher on subscription?
Yes, I do.
If you're interested wait for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Most of the time they have a great offer.

Thanks. Wouldn't mind getting something through the post box apart from bills.
Great to see :)
They have a digital version as well, but I would prefer to get the magazine

Is there a way to read it without buying a copy?
I have the entire back catalog from 95 to 2013.
Its 8gb though.
Send me a memory stick and I will post it back to ya. Would be like borrowing my magazines. :D
Not just BYO, a nice write up in this month's Zymurgy too.

Two good splashes internationally for the NHC in Ireland this month.
It was a contra for Zymurgy giving free magazines to us with winning recipes for Brewcon.
Richard "Slugtrap" you did a great article take a bow.
Can we buy these magazines off the shelf anywhere in Ireland?
You can buy single issues of byo online not sure about zymurgy, somebody in your club is bound to have subscribed.

Unfortunately, the cost of postage for the back issues of BYO is prohibitive. I can't remember the figures exactly. But I think the postage worked out at even more than the magazines, so I didn't bother. :(
Digital versions are the only ones I read and no before anyone asks
I do like the printed magazine, I have to say. There's the excitement of getting it through the letterbox every 6 weeks or so.
Just looking there, the digital subscription only costs an extra $5 on top of the print subscription, which appears to give you access to the back catalogue. That's very good value imo.
If someone like 'El Presidente' asks them nicely they will prolly give us the pdfs for distribution within the NHC!
I think the plan was to boost their subscriptions Will, I'm sure Brewcon organisers will have a copy for us next year. ;)
