I usually brew a few litres over to ensure I fill my corny and a few bottles. I usually prime the bottles with a teaspoon of sugar. I've just picked up one of these in Ikea. I reckon it should be a lot neater with less sugar spilled and delivers an even dose. Has anyone tried one?

With my surplus I just use the carbonation drops 1 per 500ml usually does it or into a 5l measuring jug and then into bottles and that way I know exactly how much sugar I need

Why not batch prime?
Because its only for a few bottles left over after the keg is filled, easier to drop a spoon full of sugar into each bottle and fill away. If I was only bottling then batch priming would be the way to go, but its not worth it for a few bottles
But you could batch prime and fill the keg and bottles from it
If I was conditioning the keg I would but I carbonate the keg with CO2
