Title: Tips & Tricks - Fermentis technical guide
Post by: Cambrinus on October 20, 2016, 09:26:41 AM
I came across this quick guide from Fermentis on their yeasts and characteristics. Possibly posted before..

Might be helpful to some.

Couple of recipes to download at the back of the guide.

Very interesting bit on page 8 -

When rehydrating, do not use chlorinated water or it will kill the yeast.

All the more reason to treat your water with a campden tablet beforehand (1/2 tablet for 25L is adequate).

But are you not rehydrating with boiled and cooled water? That will drive off the chlorine
