Title: Broken fridge won't ruin brewday!
Post by: BrewDorg on November 05, 2016, 01:02:40 PM
I broke the temp probe of my fridge during the week, as my first ever kegged beer was carbing up. I want a pint during my brew today and decided I wasn't going to let that stop me (there's ice in the bucket)...

And a quick brewday video of my system in action...

This weather is so cold leaving outside at night would sort you out though

Tap works great Darren! Didn't do a full vid, just the youtube video I attached.

Good shout too CH. Still needs a bit more carbonation, so I'd need to keep the tank and reg out too. Any risk leaving the reg outdoors with moisture etc?

No just cover with plastic bag and an elastic band in case it rains but hasn't rained here in 3 weeks! Ambient is 2-3 degrees at the moment where I am!
Nice stirplate by the way, I have the same controller just be careful on speed, you only need enough to keep yeast in suspension rather that whipping the shit out of it  ;D

Cheers! I only set it to 20-25 and that's perfect. Was supposed to put a 5v charger on it, but the charger I had didn't work. So I put in a 19v laptop charger >:D The extra long cable is great and it's nice to have the option of yeast whipping ;D
