My first lager a strong smell of banana and strawberry....why is that ? It is over 2 months old now 2 weeks in primary 12*c. 2 days diacetil rest 18*c . 3 weeks in secondary dropping 1*c every day up to 3*c.. and 1 month in keg at 0*c .
Taste is not bad i like it .. she likes it even more so big plus to my hobby but it is not lager in my opinion by taste ..
Carbonation is low as well but im no co2 tank or reg yet just give it a shot out of 16g co2 bulb ...
Where i gone wrong ?
Oh and one more thing ... transfering to secondary ny syphone started leaking air can that be the case ?
Would i leave it for another month o 2 or it is better to drink it now ?
What yeast did you use?
Did you do a 60 or 90 min boil?
Malts & hops fresh?
Danish lager , wyeast . 1litre starter. Lag time was 80 something hours..
Around 75min boil .. dont know why ... just decided to go 75min .didnt know at the day of brew would need 90min boil for lager . All ingredients was fresh .
What was the OG? A 1L starter sounds a bit small for a lager. The off flavours may be cashed by under pitching.
