Would anyone have a couple hundred grams of flaked maize handy in the Dublin area today? Looking to do a spur of the moment cream ale but missing this ingredient!
You mean cornflakes?

Mr Murphy, medal winning brewer used to use that in his brews, cornflakes have a constituent component removed through vs whole product.
Never done it and not sure I'd recommend tbh
Have you tried the health food shops?
I know all the farm shops round me sell it in 25kg bags for animal feed
Polenta could also be an option.
Will need a cerial mash though.
Going to go the polenta route, fun to try a cereal mash also. Cheers guys
Corn meal from Asian shop also works well

Just to expand on this I've used these corn meal grits in two brews recently. I got them for E3.25, so similar in price to flaked maize on the home-brew stores.

Fun ingredient that does add some subtle flavour and makes for a lighter, more macro-drinker friendly body in a brew.
Thinking of trying them in a Belgian instead of / with candy syrup

Thanks again, I ended up using "maize meal" from Holland & Barrett. The cereal mash was a real pain, hope it does the trick!
