Title: YVH
Post by: Qs on November 25, 2016, 01:34:30 PM
Anyone bought from Yakima Valley Hops this year? Trying to make an order but it keeps having issues with all my cards.

That's to do with your card issuer, as it's not a normal transaction

They accept PayPal if that's any use?

Is there a code for their Black Friday offers? Can't see anything on the site.

I thought so but that option wasn't there when I went to payment options at check out. Will look again.

A few years back I did 2 transactions on my credit card, one to ink jet for printer ink and yakima  for hops. Immediately after my card was pinned to a shop discount fraud crowd who levied a €10 monthly charge. It took 5 months before my wife and I copped. Never found out which of these two companies linked me to it. >:(

Just attempted an order there and freight is mad money and the risk of customs so I think I'll pass until my hop mule is coming in the new year

If I get hit for customs it'll be quite expensive. It's averaging to about 6.50ish per 100 grams now which is probably what I'd pay from the Irish sites.  I just wanted to try this to see if the freshness was any better.

This seems to be the best offer. Works out at less than €100 for 4 pounds including postage. http://www.yakimavalleyhops.com/category_s/1998.htm

Yeah but funnily enough my card got hijacked yesterday morning. It never went through on YVH and I ended up using paypal but I wonder did they get my details anyway when I was trying to make the payments first. Although there was a 50c donation to Trocaire as one of the attempted uses of the card so I'm thinking it was more likely an Irish company.
