Title: Strawberry beer
Post by: belfastjacko on December 01, 2016, 07:18:18 PM
I guess you all know where this one is going...

Couple of mates where telling me how much they love thon Christmas market cause of the strawberry beer. Anyway the topic got round to the fact I (try to) brew my own beer, and so the gauntlet was thrown down.

So, are there any strawberry beer kits (easy way out) or a recipe for a biab ?

I presume that if you want to brew an all grain then the strawberry would need to be a sugar free syrup :-\

Strawberry flavour and aroma are supposed to be very hard to capture in beer from actual fruit as compared to something like raspberry

Thinking about this again I remember someone at one of the Cork club meet ups brought a strawberry infused vodka which was quite intense, so making a strawberry essence like that might be another way of getting the flavour into a beer
