Has anyone got those stainless steel dry hop tubes used to hold hops while in a corney. Interested to check if they are any good. :-\

Yes I have one but have yet to use it. However I did lend it to Molc who was happy with its performance. Going to do an amber later in December & hope to try it then.

Yup worked great on a late minute brew I had on and needed to hop in the keg. Simple and effective.

I've got one. I think it's excellent. Let's the hops oils out, is easy to clean. I usually suspend it using some dental floss through the loop in the lid.
I love it. Just dump it in the keg and leave it. Had a pale on for 2 months and the aroma was great, never got vegetal or grassy the way a long dry hop does. I prefer leaves in it than pellets. I'm going to buy another one this week.
I'm probably going to stop using mine. I found it would still let a lot of hop debris through and my dip tube would get blocked. Would end up with a mr Whippy instead of a nice beer. Going to add it to the ferm and cold crash after ferm is done

You using leaf or pellets?
Pellets. I don't find the leaf quality in Ireland to be worth the bother :(
Pellets in a keg is bad news.
My only concern with them is the one time I've used it (thanks Shanna) the beer has stayed murky as hell even with finings. Not sure if it's related or if it was taking it off the yeast after 2 weeks, but just FYI
I'm seeing mixed views so :-\. Like the idea of dry hopping a keg and this looks like it will do the job. My first concern was would the hop aroma get out of the container well enough but Isee some of you say it still makes the beer look murky.

I bought one, not as fancy as the ones Homebrew West are getting in but the same idea. The main use I see is for adding hops to a corny before serving. You could have a well conditioned beer and then infuse it with fresh hop character a few days before tapping it up.

Doesn't make my beer murky. ;D
I add it to beer thats already beer crashed and usually fined with gelatin.

I get that completely. Its very hit and miss. Some hops just don't last the way they are packaged here. Others do though. The hops books has a section in the middle that notes the storage quality of most of them. Its a good guide.
I thought these dry hoppers were 300 micron mesh (that's 0.3 mm mesh).
That's like 10 holes to a square mm!
Fail to see how 0.3 mm stuff would cause a blockage, a haze maybe?
