Title: Help: Chiller tripping my rcd
Post by: imark on December 17, 2016, 01:18:40 PM
My undercounter chiller has started tripping the rcd when I plug it in.

Has anybody got experience fixing or trouble shooting the likely cause?

If I was to bet it's a possibly a moisture problem or else a malfunction in the chiller itself. Check the wiring for any signs of damage. Also limit the circuit to only the chiller. If it still trips it try another circuit. I have a circuit in a n extension that is rated with a low rcd making it useless for any high wattage devices.
