Title: controller for recirc BIAB (based on rex c100 PID)
Post by: wartotojas on December 29, 2016, 05:52:00 PM
Hi all,

Since I got new control unit  looking to sell my old one. It is fairly simple but served me for 25+ brews with no  hasle. Just to give you an idea my setup was  50l pot with solar pump heated with 3kw element.

Control unit based on rex c 100 PID. has 25A SSR inside fited onto heatsink. Pc fan that blows any excess heat (never had a problem with overheats. Two switches one to turn heating element on/off, second to turn pump on/off. It has 2A 12v output for the pump. Temp sensor is detachable pt1000 with 1/2 npt thread (I had it in 3 way tee just before pump at the outlet port) i have a spare k type thermocouple if needed.

Input cable is aprox 2m, probe lead is aprox 2m. Needs output for pump and element wired.

The only problem with PID is that you can not set temp over 40C. This happened after I ran autotune on it. I guess there should be easy way to reset it back to factory settings.

Looking for 50€
