I've used them a few times. I have no complaints.

If you are buying from the homebrew shops in Ireland you should join the NHC. You'll get a discount code on every HBS in the ROI and usually save the price of membership in a couple of orders.

Mixed feedback on them.
I found them to be OK - anything I ordered was delivered.
Others here have had issues.
They recently opted out of NHC so no discount is offered.
My recommendation is to support anyone that supports the NHC if you can.

I used them a few times and got tired of getting phone calls telling me something I'd ordered was out of stock (despite being clearly marked as in stock on their site).

Yes, 24hr support.
Sometimes that 4am opinion may be the most honest, just not the most coherent.

:) I only use them for the wyeast orders these days, as they invariably get some part of my order wrong and are slower to rectify.

It's generally been wyeast items that I get the call about. "we don't have x, will you take y" well, no because the only reason I ordered with you is because your site stated x was in stock. Shoddy.

Bugger. Anywhere else to get Wyeast? They have a few yeasts that are just different to White Labs...

First order I had with them included a bottle of starsan which was leaking. I've had other issues with them like temp strips having a different range when I got them to the image on site, never found their hops as fresh, etc The last thing I got from them was a Fast Ferment and they had shoved and squeezed the normal box so awkwardly into another box that it broke the airlock that came with it. That was the last straw for me, I'm not buying something for €100 to have them not treat it with any care. If the other shops don't stock something I want now I'd rather get it from England than them.

Wow, I really thought it was just me that was having issues with them.

Good to talk...

Where do ya live ipa-drinker? There are a few homebrew shops around. Homebrew company, homebrew west, mottley brew and homebrew centre. The latter 2 being Dublin shops.

Hi ipa-drinker.

You live outside London, right?

I used these guys for years when there was very little over here. I'd still be using them only the postage for larger orders to Northern Ireland suddenly sky-rocketed some time back:

Based in Salisbury and free mainland delivery on larger orders.

Cheers,
