Cheers armedcor that will be fantastic and thanks. It is just annoying is all. They look indestructible. I might try amd take apart later after work for the craic and see if i can see a spring missing or anything obvious.

Are they corny disconnects?
Steel?
Pinlock or Ball?
Where did you get them?

When taking apart you should find some tiny ball bearings so do it on a table and have a Tee towel on the table to catch anything that's falls off ;)

So I took apart and put back together. All looks fine but still excessive play. Any ideas?

Maybe stretch the spring a little.
