Off to Amsterdam for a few days with the leader of the opposition, just wondering if anywhere sells decent beers.
Leader of the opposition? The Wife?
So much choice so little time ;-)
Below a few favourites of mine. All very very good beer selection. Some do food which is excellent too.
As Said this is the few I specially like but there are many many more excellent watering holes.
Most sites also in English.
Enjoy!

Excellent info thank you, some of them are very close to our hotel too so nice and handy
it's not the beer you want to go to Amsterdam for....it's the hops. ;)

All previous trips have been for that reason, this time it's touristy trip with the wife
You may as well get the t-shirt http://www.beertemple.nl/MOREBEER-TOUR/
Jopen is worth a visit in Haarlem, brewery set up in a church, nice place too.
I'd highly recommend Brouwerij 't IJ (http://www.brouwerijhetij.nl/?lang=en) which was already mentioned, although I'd try and get there on a sunny day, as most of the drinking is done outdoors.
Also, if you accidently found yourself in the Red Light District, check this place out: Brouwerij de Prael (http://deprael.nl/en_GB/homepage/). There is a separate shop and brewpub, so be sure to find the brewpub.
Have a great time! I'm not jealous at all - Honest.
