Title: Beersmith & BIAB/All in One
Post by: vinyljunkie on January 24, 2017, 03:13:47 PM
Anyone managed to setup a mash profile on Beersmith for BIAB/All in One batch sparging?

I know I can't setup a dunk biab sparge but reckon batch sparging will get me close enough figures. For example I'm looking for Beersmith to tell me I need 24L for the initial mash any batch/dunk sparge with 6L to get 27.5L pre boil volume.

BIAB/All in One batch sparging?
Do you mean a Full Volume mash - there is one there for 'Pot (13 Gal/50 L) - BIAB'?

What size is your pot? Are you doing a Maxi-BIAB (23L batch from a 16L pot)? If it's big enough, no need for sparge.

Sorry should have been clearer, I have my equipment profile setup fine. I have a 33L pot in which I usually mash with 24L of water then dunk sparge with about 6L.

So not technically BIAB as I don't have a big enough kettle for full volume.

Do you have the mash (water & grain) right to the top?
