Title: small fermentors
Post by: Cathal O D on December 10, 2012, 09:58:18 PM
Hey there
Any one know where i could get some 5L or 10L buckets to use as small fermentors. I want to experiment with the same wort and use different yeast, dry hopping, etc etc.

If you know anyone working in a chipper, they often have some pretty decent food grade buckets at about 5 and 10 liters. The ones that their ketchup and mayo come in.
I've used them in the past and they do the job quite well once you've got the oils and flavors out of them.

QuoteDemijohns are a PITA from a fermentation perspective. Soooo hard to clean yeast crud off the inside.

Do you not use Oxiclean or Wills Lidl Equivalent?
