Title: Sorachi Ace Hops
Post by: brianbrewed on February 10, 2017, 03:20:35 PM
Has anybody any experience brewing with this hop.
Was going to use it for late additions and dry hopping in an IPA.

Does it have a 'Lemon' aroma or taste?

Wicklow Wolf has a Sorachi Red that shows them off quite well if you can find a fresh bottle.

Find them good. A bit waxy if that makes any sense.
Have used them in a few brews both as single hop beers and with other. Personally I think it needs another hop to back it up. Have used it with the ratio 3:1 with citra and found it worked well.
Would also love to try it with Lemon Drop.
Works great in a kettle sour and witbier or weiss.
Try find a Brooklyn Brewery Sorachi. Its a good example.
