Hi all, I've been apart of the forum for a while now but only paid my membership fee yesterday.
How long does it normally take to be registered as a full member?
A bit about myself. From Carlow but living in Clondalkin for the past 15months. Like everyone I started out making the kits but moved to BIAB about 18months ago and haven't looked back. mainly I do hoppy ales but have done black ipa's and a few porters also.
I've been using the same equipment for the past 18 months, pretty basic but I know my gear pretty well at this stage, this year I plan on getting myself a Bulldog all in one brewing system.
Looking forward the year ahead and hopefully this time next year I'll have a beer or 2 in the NHC national homebrew club competition.(that's the plan anyway)
Cheers
Ross
Welcome Ross,
Depending on how you feel, your local club would be capital brewers or Liffey brewers (or both). Liffey have one other member from Clondalkin already and split our tastings between the Lucan county bar and Thomas house in town. Both clubs run barrel aged group projects if you're into that kind of thing.
Membership is a semi-manual thing I believe, a moderator would be your best bet to get that moving.
+1. Liffey Brewers meeting up tomorrow evening in Thomas House. You're welcome to pop along. Bring a bottle of your beer and get some good information.
Hey Ross,
I would also like to mention that (South) Kildare Homebrewers meet in Sallins on the first Friday of every month. Sure isn't Sallins only a 15 minute drive down the N7 ;)
Welcome to the club. There is plenty of great info on this site and lots of people willing to help out.
Good luck with the brewing. I'm sure we will see your name against a medal winner in next years nationals!
Mick

Ross, you are literally surrounded. You'd better surrender and join us ;)
Welcome RedRoss, I've poked around to get that membership looked into :)
FYI this was fixed up. Was travelling from the States this week!!
Welcome Redress, you're more than welcome to call to the next Liffey Brewers meet up.
