Title: Temperature probe repairs?
Post by: Oh Crap on February 27, 2017, 07:24:56 PM
Howya
Has anybody ever had to repair an auberins rtd pt100? 2 of mine failed yesterday and after investigating I found, in both of them, a wire in the disconnect had broken free from its solder...
I cant seem to figure out how to open this to repair it..any ideas
Cheers

Failed odd they are best in the market
I think the outer square face pops off by pressure on side, check with manufacturer.

Edit..just read the rest of reply..
It's the cable side that has broke not the sensor itself

I agree......it turns out to be a wire loose so it could be user error...but I thought it unusual that both failed within minute..

Good to know I was looking at getting the ready made auberin probes , but the Chinese generic ones looked tempting for their price.
