Title: Aquarium Enthusiasts using CO2?
Post by: fishjam45 (Colin) on March 15, 2017, 09:28:31 AM
Not really homebrew related post, apart from the use of co2, but does anybody here have a 2nd hand or spare co2 setup for an aquarium they are willing to part with?

I've a 240ltr tropical freshwater setup that I'm looking to turn into a planted setup.

Just checking on the off chance anybody has something.

Thanks in advance.

No help with C02 but I tried plants few times and the fish just pulled them out of the gravel and destroyed them, so just be carefull before you go head first and waste cash.  :-\

Cheers Beerbuddha.

I'll be changing the inhabitants of my tank too, I've got some whopper Silver Dollars in there so they'll be the first to go!  :D

The main focus will be around planting with some small, plant-friendly species of fish.

Fishjam45,

I saw the posts earlier and spotted this at a Clearance Outlet store in Belfast.

I don't keep an aquarium, so have no idea if it is what you are looking for.
RRP £49.99. On sale at £5.

Yeah that's a basic version of what I'm looking for.
I'd be using a refillable CO2 tank, the same as we use for kegging etc.

Good spot!
