I'm setting up a brew shed with a brewing system, fermenters etc. I intend to also build a bar and
put taps and a CO2 system in. This is the list of kit I'm going to purchase. Having not done this or anything like it before
I'd like some tips on what I'm buying and what I'm missing. I have a fridge and a shed so far!
Grainfather Connect
The Grain Father Sparge Water Heater
The Grainfather Mangrove Jack's Hop Spider
Plastic Conical Fermenter* x 2
19lt Refurbished Corny Keg (Grade A) x 4
Dual Body CO2 Regulator with 1/4" Barb Checkvalves (2 Kegs) Superior Model x 2
Quick Disconnect IN Complete x 2

Clean work station for yeast work.

If you can run water out to it do... I was advised by a few lads when building mine and I didn't take heed of the advice... Regret it now..
This thread is very timely.....about to extend the kitchen into the garage so my brewing needs a new home. It's time for project brew shed here too. Definitely going to run water and electric out to it and insulate the walls. Not sure what to do about the floor - would it need some sort of waterproofing / latex paint of some sort? Also considering installing an extractor fan but initially I'll probably just open the doors since it's summer time.

If you are planning on getting a steel shed then an extractor fan is essential. I've a friend that got a steel shed for brewing and found the condensation too much. Also make sure that any surfaces in the shed are easy to wipe down, you would be very surprised the amount of mould that builds up from wort splashing on the floors and counter tops.
Good luck with the project.
It's amazing how many sentences need careful re-wording when you use the word wood.
Anyway.... :)....I'm going the wood direction. Not sure I could look out the window at a steel shed for years on end.

I tiled my floor and it's great. Tiles are cheap, but adhesive is a bit more costly.
Easy to mop up or brush, hard wearing, good grip, easy to install.
i leave my door for drying, but i regret not putting in a small extractor for ventilation. While it's easy to dry up when the weather's nice, my lovely white painted walls suffer from a little black mould in the winter. It's never been a problem, but it looks like crap.
This is the metal shed I got...its insulated and has a condensation barrier....shannett sheds in kilbeggan...cant recommend them enough.

How do they compare to steeltech price wise?
that was 4.6k but has lots of extras...i got the pvc door and window, tile roof , wood effect walls and galvanised gutters...its 20x10...forget what the shed cost was without the extras
That's the size I'm planning.
I got a log cabin built, ran power into it. Have a freezer controlled by an stc to 2c and 5 taps on a Mexican pine bar I picked up from adverts. Have 2 stout taps pushed by nitro and the other 3 are co2. I use the gas splitters to serve from them all using the one bottle. I recommend using the imminent birth of a child to influence your missus on the larger purchases 🙆

Thanks for all replies.
Will defo be getting an extractor fan or at least some sort of vent.
Will be runnig water to it and getting a deep sink for cleaning and general shzzel.
Planing on having a grow room in there too for chilies. Yeah, just chilies.
tiled floor is a good idea but slippy when brewing? Wood I guess is out?
Interested in what people think of the gear I'm getting and any other small stuff I'm missing.
If you have room and don't mind the expense, a serving fridge and a conditioning/carbonating fridge would be nice.
What taps are you serving from?
I have a tiled floor in my shed and would highly recommend it for brewing, easy to clean and durable.
You will need some sort of workbench, SS is good, and maybe a cooker hood for venting out the steam.
One or two fridges fitted with Inkbird/STC temp controllers and tube heaters would also be recommended.
Oh and plenty of storage/shelving for bottles, grain, fermenters, grain mill, etc., etc...
Leave room for a kegerator as a later project maybe. ;)
Great thread - I'll be setting up my own one next year. Had a quick google and you could do a lot with one of these..
Am leaning towards doing something like this: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=99310
