Title: Braumeister modification - dump valve
Post by: Dr Jacoby on May 10, 2017, 10:32:00 PM
For anyone interested, I just rigged up this dump valve to make it easier to get rid of trub and clean in place. I'm calling it the Notorious CIP.

I like.
What about leaf?
I was thinking of making a snorkel.
Recirc with leaf is a no no when chilling, so a tube that interfaces with the in or out flow internally, that draws from the top of the wort.
This could be used on the out to vacate the vessel also.

I don't use leaf so it wasn't a consideration for me. Also, I don't have the pump on during chilling as i want the trub to settle out asap.

That said, I would consider a snorkel for the 500L model. That way you can buy some flippers and really dive in  :P

Ps. The snorkel is actually a clever idea for leaf hops...
