I have either a 1" male garden tap or a 23mm female kitchen tap connection to work with. This and a length of 3/8" tubing.
I read that garden taps were either 3/4" or 1/2" and went and bought a brass 1/2" female to 3/8" barbed fitting shown below:

However, I should have taken a measurement because it turns out my garden tap is 1".
The only solution I can find is this 1" female to 1/2" male fitting (shown below) to connect the tap to the brass fitting but it's £9 and well, I'd rather not fork out that much if I can help it.

Does anyone have a less expensive solution?
Cheers.
