Placeholder for the long and much anticipated 3rd annual Belfast Quintessential competition.
After much deliberation we've decided that this year's competition will highlight some of our excellent IPA styles.

Yeah; the plan is to still go for this one, if there's enough interest.
There's a bit of a congestion of competitions around that time, so getting enough certified judges might be an issue but we'll see what happens.
As for cats, still working on those. NEIPAs will most likely be included but whether it goes into a category of its own or lumped into a specialty category is still TBD.

Yeah lots of competitions all happening at the same time. Great preparation for the nationals though.

Hi Fishjam,
Sorry for the delay in response but, to be honest, we're still in discussions about whether or not to go ahead with the comp in October, as opposed to postponing till a later date.
One of the biggest issues we're facing is the uncertainty of the future of Brewbot, our regular venue, and whether or not it'll still be open mid-October.
That, as well as struggles getting commitment to help organise, and the fact that there's a large concentration of competitions happening around the same time, are making mid-October look a remote prospect.
So, my advice to you would be brew away, but have plenty of ice to hand :(
