Title: Beer Tasting/Scoring
Post by: Will_D on July 13, 2017, 10:50:09 AM
Hi all,

Just received this from Blueshed of the Royal County Brewers:

"Hi, how things.  I'm wondering if it would be possible for the lads in tbe north country brewers would be willing to taste and give honest and constructive feedback on beers from the Royal County Brewers.

We're a small group with alot of inexperienced brewers plus none of us have BJCP training.

I would gather up the bottles with information on what they are and recipes etc and delivery to a North county member.

I reckon it would be 3 ir 4 brews at most.

Let us know what you think.

All the best

John Reilly"

So what say we dedicate part of a meetup in the Boro to do this for our neighbours?

Wartotojas is going to leave few beers with me today, so will bring them to the next meetup as he's looking to get some feedback from BJCP judges.

Always up for giving feedback to people. Only takes 10 minutes to do a scoresheet, so could always put the judges in a corner quickly to give feedback and then bring them back to the group for collective feedback and any additions. Would be a fun talking point!

I can only do it in Fowlers though :)

Next Fowlers is 25th so as we got on so well at the the Boro, thats two of us. If we can get another two judges it would be epic.

I will contact John to get the beers to me.

What sez yous?

If you think the beer is crap its 1 bottle
If you think the beer is good its two!
If you really rate the beer and want the points/assesment its 4 bottles  >:D

Don't jinx it! That was the best flight of beer I've ever had the pleasure of judging - that includes bos! Icing on the cake was our scoring being so close :)
