Title: Next brew
Post by: kris.purchase on August 24, 2017, 12:56:54 PM
Hello all,

I picked up a couple Brooklyn brewing kits (1 gallon) these are all grain kits and it will be my first try at an all grain kit. I have seen a lot of comments/posts about BIAB method for larger all grain brews. Has anyone done a Brooklyn brew kit using the BIAB method?

I am unfamiliar with the Brooklyn kits, but if they are an all grain ingredient kit to make 1 gallon finished beer, then there should be no issue doing it as BIAB.

There is a term for this: mini-BIAB, and it has a lot of advantages.

You can use a lot of low tech, cheap kit, to make compromise free beer, that packs away neatly when not in use.

- you can stabilise your mash temp in a pre warmed oven
- you can use a cheap beer fridge or powered camping cool box for temp controlled fermentation
- you can use liquid yeast vials without making a starter
