Title: Sparge Water Heater
Post by: SprocketFuel on August 24, 2017, 07:30:32 PM
Looking for a sparge water heater. Min of 10L.

Nesbits have one for €55 but wouldn't mind going 2nd hand if i could get one cheaper.

Would rather it be around dublin if possible.

Old fermentation bucket, element from a tesco value kettle and away you go for under a tenner.

+1 on the fermenter and cheap element.

I made one recently but added an inkbird temp controller. So when the mash has started I just set and forget the sparge heater until the mash is over. It works really well if your trying to get a brew in when your supposed to be minding the kids!

The inkbird was the only expensive bit, you could easily go the cheap stc route.

It worked a treat on my last brew.
