Title: Infected batch I think. Any way to save it?
Post by: Phil.cork on December 08, 2017, 12:31:39 PM
Batch of muntons apa. Fermenting since 23rd Nov went to add finings today and saw this. Pretty sure that's a pellicle. Is there anything can be done or is it just for pouring down the drain??(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171208/8cbbe6058e168f448f4d6e0fac949a72.jpg)

Smell it. Taste it. Report back.

Is that your first batch Phil?

Sour sharp?
Bottle 1 without sugar and bring to the meet on 15th for analysis and discussion.
Theres loads elsewhere on forum about sanitation, have a snoop.
Consider sanitising in mild bleach solution.

1 week more in the fermenter won't make a huge difference.
