Hi all,
My name is Greg, my family (wife & two kids, third will arrive this month) just moved to Ireland in October from North Carolina in the US. I moved for a 2+ year position at my company but unfortunately didn't bring any of my brewing gear with me. I've been brewing for ~6 years, all grain for the past 4, and typically brew 10-gallon batches (what is that, 35ish Liters?) split into two 5-gal kegs. On of my favorite things to do is brew a typical style, keep half the batch normal, and then do something crazy/odd/experimental with the other half -- whether that's different yeast, dry hops, adjuncts, whatever.
At the moment I haven't started brewing again but am planning to start again ASAP. I want to keep things as minimal as possible so I'm looking at ~10-15L batches in a BIAB stovetop setup and just bottling but have absolutely NO equipment whatsoever (yet), I wanted to chat with this group about what might be available and then order the rest. Was looking forward to the meetup last week until the snow hit, hopefully this week will go ahead as usual and I can share a few pints with you all.
For what it's worth, I live right around the corner from the Headline bar at Leonard's Corner and work on Harcourt street -- would be great to meet up with whoever is in the area and get some insight on the homebrewing scene here in Dublin.

Welcome aboard - there is a good capital meet up near you- I'm sure the lads will bring you up to speed
The nationals and brewcon are around the corner - dont miss em !!

Bear in mind this forum has gotten awful quiet in the last year or so because of clubs using WhatsApp.
Getting out to a local meet is the best way of getting involved.
The forum is still good for knowing when a meet is happening.

Hey Greg, I'm a graduate student from Chicago and I just moved here last fall. Check out the Homebrew Company's website, Irish store where I got my 30 L (7.9 gal) BIAB boil and fermenter buckets from. I'll hopefully be at the meetup this Wednesday, looking forward to chatting.
